Ibrox – Àth Bruic – Badger’s Ford

Ainm eile le deifir freumhan, ged a tha an riochd seo bitheanta an-diugh, gu h-àraid air cairt-iùil an rèile fo-thalamhainn. Is i pàirce ball-coise Rangers as follaisiche an-diugh, ach bha uair nuair nach robh iad a' cluich an-seo, ach am Pollokshields, Fleshers' Haugh is eile. Fiù ’s an-diugh, fo sgàil ballachan ruadh na pàirce, tha cearnaidhean beaga, gorma fhathast a’ tighinn fo bhlàth.

Another name with various possible roots, although this Gaelic version is popular today, especially in relation to the schematic map of the Glasgow Subway. The area is dominated by Rangers’ football ground, although this hallowed turf was not always home to the team, having played Fleshers’ Haugh, Pollokshields and other places in earlier years. Even today, under the shadow of the red-brick stadium, Glasgow’s green places manage to make their presence felt.
