Revisiting of one of the original songs from ‘Cluaidh – Ùrachadh na h-Aibhne’, tracing the Clyde’s post-industrial human story. It’s now a central part of Mary Ann’s repertoire. She and Nick visited the GalGael in Ibrox where people gather to share a simple meal or to learn woodworking and boatbuilding skills, giving them respect, and a sense of worth and community. One of the main conversations of the evening was in good Hearach Gaelic! GalGael also reconnects people with the Clyde, through vessels like their birlinn¸ the ‘Orcuan’. As one crew member once said, “GalGael gave us back our river”.
