Watercolour Cottage sits on Loch Linnhe's shores at the mouth of the Great Glen, with unrivalled views of Britain's highest point, Ben Nevis.
The CottageSleeps 6-8 people plus 3 pets
Watercolour Cottage was built in 2009 in a traditional Highland 'Taigh Geal' (White House) style. It sits on the site of an old shepherd's bothy (now the neighbouring byre) and is part of Watercolour Music's legendary Highland residential recording studios and creative retreat.
It's All YoursExclusive use
Visitors have exclusive use of the cottage accommodation and a separate entrance to the property with complete privacy. Complete peace and quiet to enjoy the Highland landscape surrounding you. (Don't worry, we don't have the big rock bands visiting when you're staying!)
Total ComfortHighland Chillout
A cosy living room offers stunning views of Ben Nevis and Glen Scaddle, or you can lose yourself in our enormous DVD collection, while the Dining Room can accommodate sociable eating round the table for up to 8. Wifi is there if you need it. Or you can leave well alone.
Best Night's SleepPeace, Perfect Peace
Three bedrooms upstairs offer a great night's sleep. One double (with blackout blinds); one twin (two single beds); one bunk-room (four single bunks). There is also a sofabed in the lounge and additional z-beds available.
What's Cooking?The Galley
A well-equipped kitchen and utility room take care of all the domestics. Electric oven, grill & hob; large fridge; compact freezer (additional capacity in the byre); microwave; dishwasher; washing machine; drying pulley.
No QueuesBathrooms & Loos
All the bathrooms are fully tiled in high-quality designer materials. The main bathroom upstairs has a bath with overhead shower; the bunkroom has an ensuite shower room, and the utility room downstairs has a fully accessible toilet.
We Love Dogs!
We are dog-lovers (owned by the delightful FCR Rycote) and welcome well-behaved, sociable dogs. There's a large enclosed area around the house to run free, although we always ask visitors to be aware of livestock beyond the grounds. Happy to welcome three dugs, occasionally more by arrangement.
Hassle-free HighlandsLeave the Traffic Behind
We have the best of both worlds - within easy striking distance of major tourist destinations such as Glencoe, the 'Harry Potter' Viaduct and Nevis Range, but with fewer visitors on this side of the water, you can often have hills, lochs and beaches all to yourself! So many hidden treasures on the peninsulas too - art, nature, food, adventuring and more. Bikes available, Canadian canoe by arrangement.
